COLUMBIA, S.C. (March 20, 2017) – EngenuitySC Executive Director Meghan Hickman has been named to The State Media Co.’s 2017 list of 20 people under the age of 40 who are making a difference in our region. The class was selected by The State from more than 70 nominations submitted by readers, and will be honored this week at a reception at the Capital City Club.

Hickman was honored for her role as partner and COO of Sagacious Partners – which offers project management, economic development, and executive coaching services – and as executive director for Sagacious Partners’ longest-standing client, EngenuitySC. She describes her dual role as “the greatest job I never knew I wanted.”

“I am humbled to be selected as a member of this distinguished class of impressive and passionate people,” says Hickman. “The talent, the diversity, the accomplishments – it’s further proof that this region has unlimited potential and this new generation of leaders and doers is determined to leverage that for great things.”

Prior to joining Sagacious Partners and EngenuitySC in 2012, Hickman’s experience includes: Strata-comm, a Fleishman-Hillard Company, senior account executive; Office of Sen. Lindsey Graham, press secretary; and Lindsey Graham for Senate, deputy finance director. Hickman’s community service and accolades include Girl Scouts of South Carolina Mountains to Midlands board member; Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce board member; USC School of Journalism and Mass Communications, 2016 Outstanding Young Alumni Award; Charlotte Business Journal Energy Inc. Summit, 2015 Emerging Leader Award; Columbia Business Monthly, 2014, 2015 50 Most Influential People; Columbia Regional Business Report, 2014 Influential Women in Business.

Hickman was named Executive Director of EngenuitySC in 2014.
