University of South Carolina Mechanical Engineering Professor Promoted to Assistant Editor
Associate Professor Fanglin (Frank) Chen, mechanical engineering, was promoted to Assistant Editor of International Journal of Hydrogen Energy (IJHE). He has served as an Assistant Subject Editor since 2010.
IJHE provides scientists and engineers throughout the world with a central vehicle for the exchange and dissemination of basic ideas in the field of hydrogen energy. The emphasis of the journal is placed on original research, both analytical and experimental, which is of permanent interest to engineers and scientists, covering all aspects of hydrogen energy, including production, storage, transmission, utilization, as well as the economical, environmental and international aspects. As one of the premier journals devoted to the energy technology, IJHE currently has an international presence of authors, reviewers and readers.
Each IJHE editor makes final decision on the manuscripts assigned. Responsibilities of the editors in IJHE include initial assessment of the suitability and scientific contributions of manuscripts assigned, making a decision on whether a manuscript needs to be sent out for external review, conducting external review, and making final decision on a manuscript based on external reviewers feedback. As an Assistant Editor, Chen will handle an average of 12 manuscripts per week, mainly in the topics of fuel cells, electrolyzers, and hydrogen production and storage...
